Important notice for valued customers.
Hi everyone, this is chef Hiroshi from Orizume. I would like to take the time to thank you all for your continual support.
Here is an important notice.
After a year of starting up Orizume in a ghost kitchen, I’m happy to announce our new contracted location. With this new location, we will be able to provide higher quality take out, as well as the much-longed dine-in service.
Opening Orizume during this hard pandemic time, it was all of the customers’ support that made us this far, and to finally decide in having our own location.
We do not have specific dates as of now, however we are planning to start renovations next month.
With all this exciting news being said, we do have to change our current operating hours to Sunday’s only. Orders must be put in at least two days in advance.
As the health orders are slowly being lifted and getting back to the new “normal life”, we are still living in the pandemic. We will be taking great caution during the shifting to our new location, so it is hard to say how long this new operating hours will last.
We will keep you posted on our website and by e-mail.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but rest assured we will return better and stronger. Again, we appreciate your support!
Thank you - Chef Hiro
A new sushi experience in Vancouver
A collaboration between two experts in their craft, ORIZUMÉ is a luxury sushi take-out experience that you can enjoy from anywhere, at home or at the beach.
Takuya, who has over a decade of experience appraising and auctioning high-end fish in Tsukiji Market, carefully prepares the best seasonal fish from Japan each week. Chef Hiro then puts his culinary expertise to work: his principle is to make the most out of every seasonal ingredient and to strive for perfection. Highlighting his technical excellence are the steps behind each piece of fish: from techniques like 'konbujime' to 'jukusei,' there is a great amount of knowledge and experience that goes into every box of ORIZUMÉ sushi. These details are hard to see with the eye, but they make a world of difference when you taste the sushi in your mouth.
What makes our sushi so good?
Aside from the high quality Japanese fish that go into each piece of sushi, the other ingredients are just as important. Sushi rice, wasabi, and soy sauce play a key role: a master sushi chef cannot create a brilliant sushi experience without thinking about the balance between every component.
Because some days may become fully booked, we recommend ordering in advance. (We make a limited number of boxes on each day to ensure the highest quality.)
